Inovace společnosti Sodex, an Austrian construction tech startup developing AI-powered surveying technology for construction sites, mines, and infrastructure projects, has closed a funding round of €4 million. The round was led by Capmont Technology, with participation from Bloomhaus, Look AI Ventures, Superangels, SOSV, and 12 Rounds Capital.
The fresh capital will be used to expand the Sodex AI platform, grow the team, and accelerate international expansion.

Construction sites generate enormous amounts of data, but most of it is still captured manually, leading to delays, measurement errors, and documentation gaps that slow projects and erode margins. Sodex was built to solve this directly, turning the machinery already operating on every job site into a continuous, real-time data source.
Rather than scheduling separate surveying trips or interrupting active workflows, Sodex retrofits scanning systems onto existing construction machinery. As machines operate, they record terrain, material movements, and progress in real time, feeding the data directly into the Sodex web platform. There, teams access documentation, quantity calculations, and progress analyses in one place, making construction sites simpler, faster, and more transparent.
For customers, this means fewer manual measurements, fewer delays caused by missing data, and better decisions grounded in reliable information — a direct boost to efficiency and predictability in an industry under growing pressure from tight margins and complex documentation requirements.

“The most valuable infrastructure companies are often built not by replacing how work gets done, but by making existing workflows measurable. Sodex’s real innovation is not the sensor itself, but its ability to transform every machine on a job site into a continuous source of trusted operational data. In an industry where billions of euros still depend on manual measurements and fragmented documentation, that shift has the potential to redefine how physical work is recorded, verified, and ultimately valued,” said Angelo Burgarello, partner společnosti Look AI Ventures.

More than 100 customers across the US, Australia, and Europe are already using Sodex’s technology daily — a sign that demand for real-time construction intelligence is not limited to a single market. The company is currently also preparing its market entry in the Czech Republic, planned for autumn 2026.

“Real-time updates directly from the construction site have become indispensable for many of our customers. With this funding, we can not only expand our team but also our portfolio and scale internationally much more quickly,” said Ralf Pfefferkorn, CEO and co-founder of Sodex Innovations.
The round brings together a group of experienced technology investors, including Capmont Technology, Bloomhaus, Look AI Ventures, and the German business angel group Superangels. Existing investors SOSV, OMA (founders of ProGlove), and 12 Rounds Capital (Katharina Klausberger and Armin Strbac) are reinvesting.
“For the first time, Sodex makes physical construction activity measurable and controllable in real time, thereby creating the data foundation on which the industry will be managed in the future. We believe that a combination of hardware, software, data, and AI — enabling these sectors to achieve a real leap in productivity — is not only incredibly exciting but long overdue,” said Michael Wittner, Partner at Capmont Technology.
